I was born on May 5, 1984 in Streator, Illinois and I was immediately rushed to Peoria for heart surgery. My parents are Jeff and Nancy McMullen and I have two younger sisters that play soccer, Ashley and Megan McMullen. I have played soccer since I was five years old, and I am currently playing in a Mexican league. My first coaching job was in 2005 when a friend of our family asked me to help him out. Once I started coaching I knew I wanted to do this all the time. I graduated from St. Ambrose University. While attending St. Ambrose I played on the intercollegiate team. During my senior year I was fortunate enough to watch Manchester United play over in England. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go again.
When I graduated from college I decided to get my coaching license because I wanted to become a better coach. I currently hold my National “D” license and Junior Level VI Diploma from the NSCAA. When I am coaching I want to create an atmosphere that is fun, positive, and a learning environment for the players.
My goal is to prepare each player for the next stage in their development. I strive to keep on improving myself so I can offer the best possible coaching to my players. I am really looking forward to this new adventure with the Three Rivers Soccer Club!
