Frazer Bio

Frazer Galt - Director of Coaching

Frazer comes to us all the way from Glasgow, Scotland. His parents, Dave and Marjorie along with his brother, David still live in Glasgow, Scotland. Frazer started playing soccer at the young age of 3 years old and had loved the game ever since. By the age of 7, he started attending soccer clinics with various well-known coaches such as Gordon Chisholm (manager of Dundee Football Club). From the ages of 8-11 years old he played for Rose Bank United and at 10 years old he also played for Balornock Primary School.Frazer moved onto Westpark United where he played for 9 years.
In 2001, at the U15 level his team travelled to Holland for an international tournament where they ended up winning. That season they also won the League Cup.
In 2002, Frazer won U16’s player of the year with Westpark United.
In 2003, Frazer began to study Sports Coaching and Sports Development, which began his coaching career, allowing him to coach children ages 10-12 years old.
In 2004, he joined the U19’s Third Lanark AC, where they won the West of Scotland U19’s League.
In 2005, he returned to Westpark United U21’s, here they won West of Scotland’s U21’s Second Division, The Glasgow Cup, and The League Cup.
In 2006, Frazer got the opportunity to work for Nike in a nationwide Joga Bonito tournament. During this time he was also offered a contract to come to America and coach for Challenger Sports British Soccer Coaching for the Summer of 2006. This program held soccer clinics for children in the U.S. to help them learn the game better and mold them into more developed players.
While in the U.S. during the summer of 2006, Frazer met his wife Lisa. They dated long distance for 2 ½ years and during a visit in 2007, Frazer met Kevin Kranz and Pete Galvan and was introduced to the Three Rivers Soccer Club.
In 2008, Frazer moved to the U.S. where him and Lisa had their daughter, Braelynn.
In 2009, Frazer and two other British coaches held the first ever Three Rivers Soccer Club summer camp bringing in over 90 kids.
Frazer currently resides in Channahon, where he is the Director of Coaching at Three Rivers Soccer Club. He also plays for Las Aquilas Futbol Club where they have won the League and League Cup for 2 years in a row. Frazer won top goal scorer in the 2010 season, scoring a total of 35 goals in 16 games.
Frazer has many goals and aspirations for the Three Rivers Soccer Club. First and foremost he wants to give every child an opportunity to learn the game of soccer. He wants to help improve skills and knowledge to all the kids within the club and to see them progress on to a higher level of playing.
In the future Frazer would love to take one or more teams overseas to the U.K. to play in a tournament, watch games and to train at the best facilities in the world, allowing them to experience soccer from a different culture.
He also has a vision of helping the organization achieve a goal of building an indoor facility. When Frazer first came to the Channahon/Minooka area, soccer was just becoming introduced and accepted as a sport. Now, three years later it is bigger than it has ever been in the area and Frazer knows with an indoor facility for the organization there will be no limits as to what this club can achieve in all of their future goals.
Along with goals for the club Frazer also has some personal goals for himself. In 2011, Frazer wants to gain his Higher National Diploma in coaching through NSCAA. This will allow him to progress his coaching to the next level at a College and/or Professional Level.
